In the Artist’s Words… When Cheryl Brockmann, owner of A Party Apart, asked me to design Party Don, she said, “Go wild,” and that’s what I did! I had never worked with fiberglass resin before, and that was a challenge in itself. We were also worried that the chandelier hat might be vandalized. In the end, I decided to put my faith in the community of Fort Wayne, and they didn’t let me down. Our original design has weathered the public extremely well. So far this has been my first community art project, and I had a blast!
