In the Artist’s Words… My favorite picture on Paths-odon was one I really could walk into — and did as a small girl. It was a downtown scene from the ’50s at Christmas. I remember looking at Wolf and Dessauer’s windows and shopping at M & N shoe store. I recalled the energy of the streets. When I walk into my classroom today, I see diverse students painting diverse children arm in arm as a donation for United Way, an establishment that works arm in arm with diverse groups. The whole experience warms my heart. Our little community has come a long way.
