In the Artist’s Words… A Keystone School second grader suggested Manny as the name for the school’s mastodon. Short for Emmanuel, it was a perfect fit to highlight our school’s core pillars of spiritual formation, academic rigor, physical development, and life experiences. Sandra McCurdy believes her work in a nondenominational Christian school is a rewarding mission and worked with the high school students on a final design. They incorporated glass tile, paint, fabric, decoupage, stained glass, and actual items such as books, balls, and even a basketball net.
