In the Artist’s Words… When I read the request for artists to participate in Mastodons on Parade, the first thing I thought of was Elvis. Yes, I am an Elvis Presley fan. I’m not a “Visit-Graceland-Annually” fan but enough of one to have some old 45s still in their dust jackets that I used for inspiration. Look at Elvis’ pompadour. It’s self-hardening clay with strands of yarn painted black. The stars on his metallic gold jumpsuit glow at night.
