“It Takes a Village”

In the Artist’s Words… My husband, David, and I thought this would be a good project for the community and for the Youth Services Center. We gave copies of the mastodon shape to the children to develop their designs. Then we sent their 34 designs to my architect son, Brad. He studied all the pictures and drew up a composite of the ideas. We named our don It Takes a Village because that’s what it takes to raise a child into a complete, confident, loving person.
