In the Artist’s Words… I have been asked to paint a lot of unusual things, but to paint a mastodon — now that was a first! The mastodon went through a few identity crises from IPFW mascot to its current identity SplatoDon. It has been a challenge and yet fun to be a part of an event that has generated so much interest and excitement from the community. I worked closely with IPFW Publications staff who participated in the design phase, and with Jim Studinski, an expert freehand vehicle painter and detailer.
