In the Artist’s Words… As a former prop master for Disney on Ice, I’ve worked with all sorts of artistic materials. I’ve never had the chance, though, to create a prop from design to finished piece. For a graphic artist, the artwork came easy, but the fabrication was another story. Luckily I had a retired tool-and-die maker and his nephew Robert Gick. And I had my own pièce de résistance who is my wife and the greatest artist I know, Tammy Davis. At the big unveiling in Headwaters Park, she met the mayor and about 10,000 people. She even played “Pop Goes the Weasel” when people turned her crank. Dona, I am in awe of you.
