In the Artist’s Words… Fiber Optic Don is a down-to-earth tribute to IPFW and the high-tech world of telecommunications. The project gave us an opportunity to work on a truly unique canvas. One side of our don depicts earth floating in fiber optic, lighted space. The other side shows the Fort Wayne skyline, also lighted by fiber optics. We even used fiber optic rope to thread around don’s trunk.
