In the Artist’s Words… I’m originally from Canada, but right now my German-American husband, Mike, and I live in Warsaw, Ind. I typically paint in oil on canvas, so it seemed only natural to me to treat the mastodon as if it were a flat surface. Prepping for paint and having to endure hours of very cold weather in my garage were my greatest challenges. Being able to paint a sky in vibrant colors, always a pleasure for me, was the highlight.
