In the Artist’s Words… AeroDONamic was definitely a challenge. I got a crash course in welding, fiberglass, and the use of power tools so I could help Ron turn my design from a two-dimensional drawing into a 500-pound flying mastodon. Giving Aerie (as we like to refer to him) wings tested all the skills I had just learned. It’s been a wonderful opportunity to be a part of this community event that has brought diverse backgrounds and experiences together. It’s been rewarding to see the joyful smiles on people’s faces.
