In the Artist’s Words… Farah and I wanted to create something artistic, fanciful, and noticeable as a piece of art on campus — not just another mastodon. We painted Ursula in Walb Student Union so students would get a taste of what was happening in their town. I enjoyed working on her out in the public where people could watch the process, ask questions, and sometimes give suggestions. I was able to see that this city is more than just the place we call home. We should always try to make it a place for others to visit, too.
