In the Artist’s Words… By Seth Boyden: My father, Andrew Boyden, designed four mastodons. His ideas and enthusiasm encouraged me. For me, it was an enormous task to finish a mastodon with a duckbill and webbed feet in only several weeks. By Marshall Nill: Seth and I had the daunting task of putting a mastodon in a duck suit. The designing process was child’s play, but the duckbill and fl ipper feet were challenging. We looked to my brother Scott for assistance. He gave up half his spring break to work on it. In our quest to perfect Mastoduck, we met kind, creative, and persevering people. We are grateful to all who helped us.
