In the Artist’s Words… Our design called for more than just a paint job. We purchased actual wagon wheels from a supplier and had to integrate them into the mastodon’s legs. We also custom built a stage-coach body and mounted it on top of the mastodon’s back. Following painting, we installed wheels and applied detailing and antiquing effects. This project required the entire team to exercise all its talents: imagination, collaboration, creativity, artistry, craftsmanship, attention to detail, timelines, cooperation, and hard work.
