In the Artist’s Words… I asked my oldest, 8-year-old Catherine, what she would like to see on the mastodon. The pajama design started there. Then I said to myself, “I am more of a seamstress than a painter. I am not an artist. What was I thinking?” But neighbors started stopping by my open garage, asking why a large fiberglass creature was there. Their positive feedback along with help from my husband, Brian, on things related to power tools made it become a “community” art project.
