In the Artist’s Words… Affectionately referred to as George, our don arrived on a cold January day. He was a lot larger than anticipated. Overall, painting him was fun for the entire family, including the two dogs. My husband, Kent, was a big help with the project. He sanded and sprayed the primer coats. My biggest challenge was translating the design from paper to a 3-D mastodon. George left the Turnbow home with a bit of drama as the limo sent to pick him up got stuck in the mud while trying to leave.
